- Secure the cabinet, vessel, or frame to a reinforced skid and brace tall or broad enclosures.
- Protect coils, burners, fans, doors, refractory, nozzles, piping stubs, and control panels from impact.
- Cap openings and keep loose filters, panels, duct pieces, sensors, and accessories restrained and labeled.

- Treat equipment with fans, coils, vents, piping, or uneven roofs as non-stackable.
- Only use stackable status when a separate structural frame carries the load above the equipment.
- Keep lifting points, base rails, center-of-gravity marks, and upright instructions visible.

- Protect thin fins, insulation, refractory, doors, seals, instruments, and control components from shock and weather.
- Drain or secure approved fluids and close all service connections before shipping.

- Measure after the heat exchanger is secured and all pallet, skid, crate, framing, guards, and protective materials are complete.
- Include runners, saddles, legs, controls, fittings, attachments, overhang, and every projecting packaged component.
- Measure to the longest, widest, and tallest finished point and use the total tendered shipment weight.
