For each pallet group, the calculator uses the fully loaded outside dimensions and weight to calculate cube and density. It then maps density to the matching estimated class band and combines pallet groups for shipment totals.
Loaded length × width × height is converted to cubic feet for each pallet group.
Loaded weight is divided by occupied cubic feet to calculate pounds per cubic foot.
The density result is mapped to the matching class band on the 13-tier density scale used by this calculator.

Use the widest, longest, and tallest outside points after wrapping, strapping, caps, projections, and overhang.

Follow these steps to calculate and review your pallet freight class estimate.
Select inches, feet, or centimeters for dimensions and pounds or kilograms for weight. The same units apply to every pallet group.
Enter the outside length, width, height, weight per pallet, and quantity. Change the preloaded example values to match your shipment.
If several pallets have the same dimensions, weight, stackability, and overhang, enter the details once and set Quantity to the number of matching pallets.
