About Freight Class Calculator
Freight Class Calculator provides free density-based LTL freight class and freight density planning tools for packaged shipments.
Site purpose
What This Site Provides
Thank you for visiting and using our site. We hope the tools helped you get to a faster, more confident estimate. We built these tools around three practical LTL freight utilities: a Freight Class Calculator, a Freight Density Calculator, and a Freight Density Chart. Most density tools stop at the number. Here, we connected the Freight Density Calculator to the Freight Class Calculator — once you've calculated density for a single piece or pallet, you can send those values directly into the class calculator without re-entering anything. It's a small enhancement, but if you're working through a multi-step estimate it removes the frustrating copy-paste step that's easy to get wrong. The goal is to help you calculate shipment density, estimate a density-based freight class, and compare density brackets before quoting, booking, or reviewing a shipment — where you have enough context in the results to know when to confirm with your carrier before committing to a class.
Tool scope
Density-Based Planning Estimates
The tools use packaged shipment dimensions, weight, quantity, and freight density to support planning estimates. They are intended for quick reference, shipment review, and sanity-checking before final carrier or broker confirmation.
Important Classification Boundary
Freight class may depend on NMFC item number, commodity, handling, stowability, liability, packaging, carrier rules, and shipment details. This site does not provide official NMFC classification, carrier pricing, tariff interpretation, or shipping advice.

Who Operates This Site
Freight Class Calculator is published by Greenspark.Group LLC, a small, Florida-based operator network that builds focused utility tools for trades and freight workflows.
This site was built to address a simple gap in LTL planning: many shippers need a quick density check before quoting, booking, or reviewing a shipment, without using a broker portal or digging through a static chart by hand.
The calculation tools are built around the decisions that matter during a quick freight class check: how density thresholds are applied, when a result is close to a class boundary, and when NMFC or carrier review should be treated as a real caveat. We also made sure that every tool loads fast with a clean UI to help users get a quick estimate.
