Filters shipment comparison
Filters range from dense cartridge or element pallets to lightweight, bulky air-filter cases and industrial housings. Carton compression strength, pleated-media protection, frame rigidity, moisture barriers, and unusable space between irregular components affect density and stackability.
| Filters shipment | Typical packaging | Density tendency | Stackability | Planning note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cartridge filters | Divided cartons secured to a pallet | Medium to high | Usually stackable | Keep cartridges separated and protect threaded or gasketed ends. |
| Boxed replacement filters | Corrugated cases with corner boards | Low to medium | Limited | Use cartons rated for top load so pleated media and frames do not crush. |
| Industrial filter housings | Skidded or crated metal assemblies | High | Limited | Block nozzles, covers, gauges, and mounting legs. |
| Oversized filter banks | Framed crate or palletized modules | Low | Usually non-stackable | Protect full face dimensions and prevent rack distortion. |
filter shipping options
The right service depends on filter size, packaging, stackability, and handling needs.
| Filters shipment | Common shipping option |
|---|---|
| Palletized cartridge or element cartons | Standard LTL |
| Cases of replacement filters | Standard LTL with stackability review |
| Industrial filter housing on a skid | Skidded LTL |
| Large filter bank or custom assembly | Crated or specialized service |
Large, irregular, non-stackable, unusually valuable, or specially handled filter shipments may need carrier review before booking.
